kj at # 9: Debra Kay's Polka Dots

What a lovely day.
I am tidying up my favorite sitting room on Blogland Lane.
I just moved in this week and it feels so good
to have things organized and easy.
.
Yikes! What's happening? Oh my God!
Hundreds, thousands of polka dots!
Everywhere!

Debra Kay.......I have your polka dots.
They are all over my house.
They are safe and sound.
But Debra Kay, how in the world
will I get them back to you?
Would you like to come and collect them one by one?
Like....tonight?
Help!

  1. Debra...
I'm hoping to get #0 for my house # as I have a gypsy caravan. You can see on my blog

  2. I got Pattee's e-mail and she'll join us soon!

As for the polka dots-whatever you do, don't feed them or they will never leave. I've set out extra special polka dot chow and once one catches wind of it-the rest will follow.

Any that take a special liking to you might stay (they are a bit like cats) but they are usually well behaved and perch in places where you wouldn't mind a polka dot.

  3. From Wikepedia
"While polka dots are ancient, they first became common on clothing in the late nineteenth century in Britain. At the same time polka music was extremely popular and the name was also applied to the pattern, despite no real connection between them."

The also remind me of abo art-it seems to be a motif that crosses cultures.
