Has anyone got a hammock, swinging gently in a warm breeze, in soft moonlight . . . so I can fall asleep under the stars. I'm so tired.

  1. I have two! It is definitely the way to go. Too many book signings?

  4. You can come over to my gypsy caravan and I'll have a pot of tea or a glass of red wine waiting for you.... I have a soft spot of a bedroom where the window is open and the warm breeze filters through, the sounds of the frog and crickets are music to your ears. The pillow and down comforter slowly envelope you into dreams and time machines~
    Sweet dreams~

  6. If I could, I'd be swinging in a hammock right next to you. One night of good sleep just wasn't enough.

  9. What a lot of fantastic invitations! Thank you all so much. I feel better already.
Linda - I can't have too many book signings - they are certainly keeping me busy but Cut Short always sells out so it's worth it and great fun.
Leslie - Hugs to you too!
Middle aged woman - That beach sounds good!
    Pattee - that sounds wonderful.
kj - Yes, at last a picture of me that looks OK. I've had it put on my publisher's website because I think it looks friendly.
Annie - I'm sure there's room for more than one hammock on Bloglnad Lane. Signature is in the post to you!
Baino - I'm afraid I'm booked for signings just about every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas . . . but I love it! Cut Short always sells out at signings and I've met some lovely people.
    kj - Keep reading, kj.

  11. If I could sign books in my sleep, that would solve my time problem - but I wouldn't want that, Caroline. I really enjoy meeting new readers and people who have read Cut Short who come along to say hello. I think what I need is to be able to do housework in my sleep.
I think in Blogland Lane we should all be able to do one thing in our sleep - I can think of a listof chores to choose from. I'd be like the fairies in the Disney Sleeping Beauty who can make the whole house sparkle with a wave of their wands. If only . . .

  12. I hope you've now rested up some, Leigh, and ready for the next onslaught of readings and signings!

  13. Yes, thank you, Marion. I never slow down for long . . . I was book signing in Uxbridge on Saturday, Oxford on Sunday, and gave a talk to a reading group at a local library this evening . . . I would never stay in that hammock for long.
